75 Computers Delivered: Our Compudopt Giveaway Recap

Today, September 17, 2026, Nixon Home Care and Compudopt gave away 75 free computers to eligible community members at 6803 Bleker St. It was a great turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many neighbors leave with a computer of their own.

The Compudopt van rolled in loaded with bags, and our team spent the morning walking them door to door — laptops, chargers, and everything needed to get connected, packed into Compudopt's bright blue "Connected by AT&T" totes. Volunteers checked people in, matched names to registrations, and made sure everyone left with what they came for.

It doesn't stop with the hardware. Starting this Wednesday, September 23, Compudopt is hosting a free 10-week Computer and Digital Literacy class every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 6800 Bleker St., Houston, TX 77016 — open to anyone who wants to build real skills on their new computer.

Thank you to Compudopt, AT&T, and every volunteer who helped make today possible. Seventy-five computers means seventy-five neighbors with a little more opportunity than they had yesterday, and that's exactly the kind of day we like to have.
